My heart is heavy as I remember my dear friend David.
We shared so many beautiful memories at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church—singing in the youth choir, traveling with our families, and spending time in fellowship under the leadership of his father. David was truly one of a kind: kind-hearted, loving, and full of joy.
Despite his health challenges, he never let them define him. His spirit remained upbeat, and his outlook on life was always positive. He inspired everyone around him with his strength and faith.
David touched so many lives, and I feel truly blessed to have called him a friend. His legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in all who knew him. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
Rest well, David. You ran your race with grace.
I have known David for as long as I can remember, because we were both members of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church when we were little kids. We were in the Children’s Choir together, and David was also my escort. My mom and David’s mother were friends before David and I were even born. I was very happy when David and I reconnected as adults! David has always been one of the best, sweetest, most loyal, and most genuine people I have ever known! My mom and I have always loved David and his mother, and they will be forever missed!

David was more than just our cousin. He was a treasure to our family. With his gentle spirit and kind heart, he made everyone around him feel welcomed and loved. David had a way of lighting up a room with his warm smile and always knew what to say to lift someone’s spirits. He was patient, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
To us, David was a blessing - a rare soul who made the world a better place just being in it. We will always cherish the memories we shared and the love he gave so freely. We love you, David, and you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

David was a great man, husband, and friend! He always made any room feel like a safe place with his presence!
David and I met years ago at one of the local charter schools as he served as the principal and I was the school counselor. He taught me a lot from day one. Later years, he helped me enhance my school by volunteering his educational knowledge into our schools curriculum. His dedication will always be remembered and recognized by ALL!
God gained a beautiful soldier and I will miss your encouragement and positive guidance!
