I would like to thank everyone who posted their memories, those who sent flowers, as well as those who were able to attend my mother's funeral. My family and I would like to also thank the members of the Christ Gospel Church and the Heavenly Gospel Church for the delicious food they prepared for us. I especially enjoyed the desserts. Thank you Ms. Emma for singing Mom's favorite songs. We all enjoyed your lovely voice. Thanks to Pastor Swinney, who did a wonderful job leading the celebration of our mother's life. We appreciate you and your kind words. Last but not least, thanks to our uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members, as well as friends and workmates. My brother's workmates from the DFW Airport, looked wonderful in their uniforms. Thank you all.
We received an abundance of love and encouragement. A special thanks to my children, my son-in-law, my brothers, their wives, and their children. As my daughter would always say, "I feel the love". 💝💝💝

in honor of Delores.

I earliest memories of my aunt Dawn was when I was a small child. Aunt Dawn lived in London and my mum Cynthia Wright "June" and her family lived in Birmingham UK. From time to time we would visit her in London and Aunt Dawn and her family would also make the journey to visit us. At some point Aunt Dawn migrated to the United States and resided in Boston. We later migrated to Long Island NY at which point we were able to travel to Boston and likewise Aunt Dawn and family would make the journey to visit us. I have fond memories of those days. Once Aunt Dawn and the rest of the family moved to Texas my mother would from tome to time take a trip to Texas and spend time with her sister. I would see photos of her trips and also speak to Aunt Dawn from time to time. Unfortunately I never saw her in person since she moved to Texas.

Its times like this that we think about the fact that we will never have the opportunity to visit her again, but as we have faith, we know one day we will all be together again.

To my cousins Ann, Noel and Paul, and to the grand children and my aunts and uncles, my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy as we all mourn the death of Delores Veronica Robinson fondly known as Dawn. May God give you all the strength you will need at this difficult time. May she rest in perfect peace. The family had gained a guardian angel. My love to each of you.❤️

Delores was my neighbor for the past 16 1/2 years. She would keep an eye on my house when I was out of town. Since I’m single, when I would cook, I shared meals with her. I joked with her that we single ladies needed to stick together. She was such a sweet lady. I’ll miss seeing her.

Dawn was my big sister. In Jamaican families of my childhood this meant she had several of the rights and responsibilities that are normally exercised by parents; maintaining dicipline and giving care being among them. In my early adult years as a student in Boston Massachusetts I lived as a member of her household, so that relationship was very much extended. In latter years my wife and children became especially fond of her. Regrettably, geographic distance constrained the frequency of our visits, the last one being almost two years ago. One aspect of my memory of her that will remain strong has to do with her faith. I know of noone whose faith was demonstrated with more commitment. It is the basis of my consolation as I reflect on how much I will miss her. Walk in the peace of the Lord my sister, prayer warrier and faithful believer. .........On behalf of my wife June, my daughter Trudi and my son Michael, I pray that the Lord will graciously and abundantly bless and comfort all her dear ones that survive her..........Your brother Winston..
