Delories Umlang Shannon, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, departed for her heavenly home during the morning hours of Friday; April 20, 2018 in her home in Arlington, Texas. She entered this world on October 24, 1939 in Fedor, Texas.
Delories was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida (Herzog) Schneider, Loyld Shannon and Mertyl (Shuffield) Shannon; two brothers, Richard Schneider and Willibald Schneider; four sisters, Eleanor Friedrich, Lorine Melcher, Freida Boraick and Betty Boes; six brothers-in-law, Edgar Friedrich, Martin Melcher, Fred Melcher, Fred Handrick, Melvin Boes, Robert Shannon, sister-in-law, Edna Boriack; nephew, Ronnie Shannon; and granddaugther, Jessica Plagens.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie Shannon; children, Sandra Plagens of Houston, Texas; Linda Greszler and husband, Dave, of Mansfield, Texas; Kenneth Umlang of Phoenix, Arizona; Brenda Murphy and husband, Brian, of Mabank, Texas; David Umlang and wife, Karen, of San Antonio, Texas; Angela Shannon and Husband, Tony, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Michelle Shannon of Corsicana, Texas, and Chris Shannon of Childress, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Meta Melcher of Houston, Texas, and Elsie Handrick of Georgetown, Texas.
