Earl Landers Jr's Obituary
Earl Landers, Jr. was born July 10, 1952 in Fort Worth Texas to the late Earl Landers, Sr. and Ester Mae Landers (Nash). With his family at his bedside, the Lord Spoke and Earl departed this earthly life to rest in eternal peace on 14 August 2018 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington Texas.
Earl graduated from The Emmett J. Scott High School in Tyler Texas in 1970. After High School, Earl faithfully served in the US Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist where he received an Honorable Discharge. Accepting the call to serve in God’s Army, Earl joined Preparations for Life Church in Fort Worth, Texas in 1999 and served as a faithful Head Usher and Leader of the Brotherhood Ministry. Self-employed, Earl was a Master Commercial and Residential Painter. Earl’s Daily profession of “God takes care of me” was a testament to his faith and trust in the Lord as he journeyed through life.
Left to embrace his beautiful life and cherish his memories are his children: Daughters, Shalitris Medlock Grimes (Sidney), and Yolanda Johnson; Sons, Hollis Landers, and Cedric Landers; Grandchildren, De’Yanna Robertson, and Alishia Henry; Great-Grandson, LaKendrick Pringle, Jr; Brothers, Jewel (Barbara), Harold (Christine), Michael, and Cornelius Landers; Sisters, Mary Brown (Lynn), Shirley J. Young, and Mia Nash; Aunts, Lula Mae Diamond, and Virginia Sue Edwards; God-Daughter, Latanjuia Bray Mitchell (Brock); Longtime Best Friend and Military Brother, Bruce Bray (Debra); Longtime Best Friend and Military Sister, Shirley “Stuff” Shedwick; Venora Landers, Ivory Jo Lacy, and Joyce Medlock Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
