Earnestine Freeman's Obituary
Mrs. Earnestine McDonald Freeman was born September 11, 1924, in Topeka, Kansas. She was the sixth child born to the late Samuel and Mary Emma Blount McDonnell. While she was a young child, she moved with her family to Arkansas.
Upon the death of her parents, Earnestine was reared by her maternal grandparents, the late Rev. William and Tennessee Carney Blount, in Jefferson County, Arkansas.
She attended Wabbaseka Training School and the J. C. Corbin School.
Earnestine was married to Willie Brooks “B. C.” Freeman, who preceded her in death. They were the parents of one daughter, Aline.
At an early age, Earnestine accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Derrick Chapel A. M. E. Church, in Wabbaseka, Arkansas. She was a devoted member of Derrick Chapel for many, many years. As she settled into her senior years, she joined Mt. Pleasant A. M. E. Church, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She transferred her devotion to Mt. Pleasant and served as a stewardess.
Earnestine departed this life on Friday, November17, 2017 at 5:16am, in Terrell, Texas. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Tennessee Blount, her paternal grandparents, Samuel and Eliza McDonnell ; four brothers, Otis McDonnell, William McDonnell, Sr., Lawrence McDonnell, Sr., and Vernon McDonnell; two sisters, Jessie McDonald Haggins and Annie McDonald Hudson McCray.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Aline Freeman Reddick, two granddaughters, Kendra Moten and Brandi Davis ( Milton), one great-granddaughter, Hailee Davis, all of Terrell, Texas; a host of nieces,nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and other relatives and friends.
