Sister Edith Lynn Diggins Wright's Obituary
Edith Lynn Diggins was born August 5,1958 to Rosie Lee Diggins and Richard
Shelton. She was a warm loving heart of a person. She had a giant person personality,
and when she entered a room, you knew that Leo the Lion was there because she let
her roar be heard. Edith was the fourth of Rosie Lee's seven children, and she let you
know she was not lost in the crowd.
Edith's greatest passion was to cook with people enjoying what she prepared.
She loved to make friends, talk, her church, to dance, and believe it or not to work.
However, most of all she loved her boys. Edith lived in Monroe, Louisiana but made Fort
Worth, Texas her home at the early age of 18. She wanted to give her boys Montrell,
DeCory, and later Elliott (who earned the nickname of Trouble) a better place to call
home.
She was baptized at an early age in Monroe, La in the Antioch Baptist Church.
She later moved her membership to the New Philadelphia Baptist Church under the
leadership of Bishop Ontario Jones.
Edith worked for Randy Radio Companies, Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth and
Crowley ISD, and owned a house cleaning service.
Edith was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Lee Hicks, brother Anthony
Hicks, sisters Leola Diggins, and Vicki Brown Shelton. She leaves to cherish two
families with wonderful memories of her, 3 sons - Montrell (Tiffany) Diggins, DeCory
Diggins, and Elliott (Nijean) Diggins. 6 grandsons - Montrell Jr., Micah, Adolphus,
