Elizabeth Christine Taylor, 80, passed away Friday May 11,2018 at the Community Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. She was born in Georgetown, Guyana in 1937, and migrated to England in the 1960s to pursue a career in nursing. This profession suited her kind and caring nature, she applied herself diligently, was well regarded by her peers and rose up the ranks to retire as a Matron of the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead Heath, London.
The funeral service will be at 12 noon on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Evening Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church at 1832 W.E. Roberts Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. To be followed by cremation of the body. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sister Ruby Gramble, as well as her only child, Steve Taylor and his wife Caryl. She was the beloved aunt of Leonard Whyte, Raymond Whyte, Robert Whyte, Deborah Whyte and Kenneth Whyte along with all of her great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by sisters Katie and Anita, and brother Wallace.
