Ella Marie Edgar's Obituary
Ella Edgar of Mansfield, TX passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was 18 years old.
Ella is survived by her brother, Dirk, her mother Georgia, and her father Brandon. She also leaves behind grandparents, Maria Brandon and Walt Kessler; paternal grandparents Teresa and Darrell Edgar; aunt Virginia Brandon and uncle Patrick White; cousins Elias and Luisa White; stepdad, Jason Suggs, and stepbrother, Jason and stepsister, Vanessa Suggs; as well as numerous friends and extended family members.
Ella was born on August 8, 2002 in Fort Worth, Texas – Georgia’s firstborn. Her mother is deeply proud of Ella who was, by turns, a star athlete, an incorrigible prankster, an artist (you should have seen her room!), a reader of serious magazines (how many 14-year-olds read the Economist?), a master cannon baller, and one of the most stubborn people you’ll ever meet.
Navigating the world with Ella was a reminder that in all of us lives a light that wants to shine. Total strangers couldn’t hide it from her. Even when she was struggling with how to be happy in this life, she never gave up on other people. She knew she could find that little light in them and draw it right out. Almost every day of her life, for some person out there, she fulfilled the fantasy that someone would see them for the unique gift they brought to the world.
She was totally irresistible.
She was a cherished sister and daughter.
To her grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins, she was perfect flaws and all. Her death is an unimaginable tragedy for us but someday soon we’ll think of her and she’ll charm us right into a smile.
