Through my Sorority sister, I learned so much about Alpha Kappa Alpha. She was dedicated to AKA and the Xi Theta Omega Chapter flourished under her guidance. She served faithfully. Rest In Peace.

I have been reminiscing; I keep on seeing her beautiful smile. Every single time I have seen Ellen, she has brought a smile to my face and heart. Ellen and Professor have been an asset to our Sunday School class and to our ministry. Words cannot fully express our gratitude of getting to know Ellen. Further, she will be thoroughly missed.

I will forever cherish your smile, your attitude, your strong will and loving spirit. You were named my GodMother and the Lord couldn't have ever blessed with me a better one! I was named your Jr Bride and you allowed me to have the memory of being an AKA debutante which is a memory that I will forever cherish! I have memories in my mind of you as well as memories around my house of you, from the books, the photos, the prayers, the ruby gems etc each piece was a gift from you and they are each items that will I always hold dear to my heart. Thank you being my GodMother. May your beautiful, loving and caring soul rest in paradise! You will be truly missed. I pray for strength for the family during this time. I love you and I know you’re in Heaven smiling down.❤️
Our sincerest condolences to the McCall family. Florence was a lovely person and I am sure she will be missed as all of you were an important part of G. W. Carver's rich history.

I just received word of Ellen's passing and although I had not seen her since we graduated from Carver High School in June 1962, I have fond memories of her. It does not surprise me to just now learn of her numerous accomplishments and her career. She was always friendly, intelligent and musically accomplished. She sat in front of me in orchestra and I still recall her looking back with a glance of approval when I played my part the right way.
My deepest condolences to her family.
I know that we shall meet again.

Ellen, Crystal and Dietric getting Devin ready for her christening ceremony. This is just one precious memory I will carry in my heart always.
Ellen was a sweet and kind person. Now she's traded her cross for her crown. Deepest sympathy to the family.
