Florine V. Barr's Obituary
Ms. Florine Virgina Barr was born in Razor, Texas on May 20, 1939, to the late William and Flossie Barr. She received her education at Powderly High School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. James United Methodist Church, Arthur City, Texas. She worked diligently in the service of the Lord from that date until her illness. She was a member of the church choir at Antioch Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma and after her relocation to Dallas, Texas she found a church home at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she also sang with the Women’s Chorus and loved attending Bible Study.
She retired from Records Management after many years of loyal service.
Florine had five sisters and three brothers preceding her in death, Vivian Butler, Alta Mae (Lavern) McCarty, Lizzie Mae Garland, Barbara Jean Barr-Jackson, Margaret Lee Barr Darden-Harris, William (Sonny Boy) Barr, Lure Lee (Larry) Barr, and John Lewis (JL) Barr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Siblings, Erma Jean Young, Sacramento CA, Maggie E. Allen, Grand Prairie, TX, and Marie Booker, Garland, TX; and special nieces, Cymphoni Campbell, Lametria Harris, Chrischeryl McDaniel, Everly Bond and Lacey McDaniel; nephews and other relatives and friends.
