Yesterday morning, my mom passed away. After fighting to recover the unrecoverable for four months after a catastrophic stroke (April 4) and a cerebral brain bleed (May 22), her body just couldn't fight any longer. My mom was such a strong woman. Overcoming breast cancer, and lung cancer in her too short lifetime. She was my best friend and my confidant and I will always miss her. She is survived by her husband, Arlen Smith, her mother, her sister, as well as, three children, five grand children and 2 great grandchildren. Her passing created a void in all of our lives and she will be forever loved and missed.
