We never met in person Ms Laverne but we shall greet each other face to face in Heaven, when I too make my journey home. I rejoice in the Lord for you are now free of pain and suffering.

You were My Candle in the Night, lighting up my darkest years.
A light that shined bright and drew back my veil of tears.
Friendship, was the wick that made it burn
and the strength of caring to make it glow.
A sweet scented column molded of faith, comfort and understanding.
Melting with time to reveal the dear heart of a true friend
My candle now shines brighter than a golden star above
Filling the Heavens, with it's gentle soul and purest love.
My Candle in the Night, held in a crystal base of kindness from the start.
A luminous flare that brought joy and reason to my heart
A mere cylinder of wax who brought purpose to my lonely soul.
Warming the coldness of night that was once in my life untold.
As My Candle in the Night, passes to the heavens with her radiant light.
She proclaims to the world that her pain and suffering is no longer her plight
There in Heaven My Candle in the Night shall burn brightly forever
And, here on earth My Candle in the Night will be forgotten Never.
