Ima Jean Howse's Obituary
Ima Jean Howse was born January 19, 1950, in Apple Springs TX. She was the youngest of 6 children. Jean grew up there and after graduating Centerville High School she moved to Houston. She met Mike in the summer of 1973. They were married June 5, 1976, 9 years later they were blessed with two baby girls back to back! Jean loved to be a wife and mother, it came so natural. Jean was a devoted wife for 45 years, loving mother to her two girls and a one of a kind Mamaw! She loved her grandkids. She watched all of them until they were able to walk and talk!
Jean passed September 20, 2021 in Moab Utah doing what she loved traveling and seeing God’s masterpieces. She was always up for an adventure!
She is survived by her husband, Mike Howse; daughter Brittany Phillips and husband John, daughter Ashlye McKesson and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Keliee, Brylee, Kelbee, Cohen and Grady; siblings, (Larry) Clifford Minshew and wife Betty, (Teet) Tommy Minshew, Dora Hooker, Nora Polvadore and husband Al and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death are her parents, Lawrence and Flora Minshew, Mother and Father-in-law Eugene Howse JR and Claudia Renthrop, brother Jim Minshew.
