Loveman's at Century Plaza opened in August of 1975. Jim, at that time, was the assistant store manager. Then he became the Men's Clothing Buyer at the flagship store in Birmingham, AL.
While at Century Plaza, I do remember him having a quick wit and a friendly smile. The employees loved and respected him.
So sorry for your loss. Save those memories close to your hearts.

I am so sad! Mr. Mount was the nicest man. He is forever in my heart. I met Mr. Mount working at Dillard's as my store manager. He had integrity of 10 men. Love you!

I heard learned a little about Jim through Marva. The love and respect they had for each other held a special place in my heart. It felt like I knew him without even meeting him. Mr Mount was a kind and caring man. I met him as he was the Dillard store manager at the Parks Mall #714. He was a strong leader, but one who I grew to respect. Mr Mount was highly regarded as part of the Dillard family of leadership. The world will truly miss him.
