Keely Edwards' Obituary
Keely Eve Edwards passed away on July 31, 2021 at 2:19 am in Plano Texas. Keely was born on November. 22, 1963 to Clifford Edwards and Patricia Arlene (Thomas) Edwards .
Keely was born at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn New York, younger sister of Kevin and older sister and protector of Billy. She attended elementary school P.S. 273 moved to Mahopac, New York where she attended Austin Road elementary school and Mahopac High school. She graduated from Mahopac High School and received an art scholarship to Boston University where Keely graduated with her Bachelor of Science and Arts degree.
While working full time Keely continued her education and obtained a Masters from Manhattanville college in May 1998.
Keely moved to Texas to be with family . She worked restoring the Amon Carter Museum and then later moved on to other opportunities.
As a professor Keely taught at Westwood College and the Art institute in Fort Worth.
Keely was honored and humbled when she was awarded Teacher of the Year.
She was an inspiration to all of her students and encouraged them in their careers.
Keely attended Savannah College of Art and Design where she obtained her second Masters and had the opportunity to visit and study in France.
Keely’s current position she was responsible for publication at Tarrant County College.
She also free lanced and blessed many people with beautiful artwork.
Keely was such a gifted artist, designer, award winning photographer, author and an amazingly kind and gentle soul. Everyone who knows Keely is truly devastated, loved and admired her.
Keely is proceeded in death by her father Clifford William Edwards, brother William Edwards, Uncle Eugene Thomas and grandparents.
Keely’s generosity has donated the gift of life to three recipients.
Her memories will be cherished forever by her mother and best friend Patrica Edwards, brother Kevin Edwards, sister-in-law Debra Edwards, Katherine Edwards (niece), Vincent Edwards (nephew), Raegan Edwards, Kennedy Edwards (grand nieces), Kaden Potter (grand nephew), cousin Anthony Vandorn and a host of relatives and friends.
