Khalil Aubrey Hayes-Reed's Obituary
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Khalil Aubrey Hayes-Reed, who left us all too soon at the age of 26 on December 30, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Khalil was born on October 24, 1998, in Phoenix, Arizona, to his loving parents, Alisa D. Hayes and Gilbert A. Reed Jr.
Khalil was a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Cybersecurity. His hobbies included wrestling, Taekwondo, Jiu-Jitsu, video gaming, and computer coding.
Khalil’s warm and caring spirit touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by his surviving family members: Alisa D. Hayes (Mother), Gilbert A. Reed, Jr. (Father), Juanita Hayes-Hill (Grandmother-Nanny), Gilbert A. Reed, Sr. (Grandfather), Elizabeth Reed (Grandmother-Nanna), Emalyn Rogers (Great Aunt) (George); his aunts: Sondra Hayes-Jenkins, Karen Rodman, Jennifer Hayes, Jacqueline Wallace, Carmella A. Reed; his uncles: Zachary R. Reed, Khalik J. Reed, Adonis Reed; his cousins: Jasmine Hayes, Zoe Hayes, Graham Hayes III, Broderick Jenkins (Vera), Bryson Jenkins, Ryan Hayes (Traci), Christopher Rodman, Dr. Rhea Rogers (Bernard), Cheryl Copeland (Keith), and Cherea Thomas (Rodney).
He is preceded in death by great-grandfathers: Charles G. Hill and Graham Hayes I; his great-grandmothers: Lucille Merriweather and Emma J. Hayes; his uncles: Graham Hayes II and Alvin B. Jenkins Jr.
