Larry Cornelius Arnold's Obituary
Larry Cornelius Arnold was born on January 25, 1955. He spent most of his childhood years between Chicago, Illinois, and Gary, Indiana. Larry was a highly intelligent student and quite the independent thinker. Understanding the value of an education, he enrolled in Indiana State University, earning a Bachelor of Science.
Larry served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked for Southwest Airlines for many years; met and married the love of his life, Lavitia Brunson while working there. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad.
More than anything, Larry loved the Lord and studied the bible and scriptures daily. As a Pastor, he led many to our Lord and Savior.
His love story with Lavitia was 25 years strong until he made his transition on January 30, 2024. His parents, Louis Arnold and Lenora Carpenter-Arnold preceded his death. Those mourning his passing include his four children, Lorita, Lalita, Larry II, and Jo’Nay Brunson-Trotter (Willie); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings; and a host of family and friends.
