Larry J. Hunter Sr.'s Obituary
Larry J. Hunter, Sr., a native resident of Winona, Texas was born February 6th, 1960, in Gilmer, Texas, to the parentage of the late Milton Hunter, Sr. and Evelyn C. Hunter. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 13th, 2024.
Larry was a graduate of Winona High School in Winona, Texas, and graduated from Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, Texas. He worked for manyyears as an adult parole officer for the State of Texas, and at the time of his death was employed by Betsy Ross Flag and Transicare, where he enjoyed making a difference with his work.
Larry was a loving husband and a devoted father. He enjoyed his family, the church and he loved the Lord. He spent his free time with family and friends and was a faithful and active member of the GreaterCornerstone Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Preceding him in death are his parents Milton Hunter, Sr. and Evelyn C. Hunter and brothers Joe ThomasSterling, Sr. and James Earl Gipson, Sr.
Larry J. Hunter leaves to cherish and honor his memory his loving wife Bossa Hunter, sons LarryHunter, Jr. (Deneeka) and Barrington Hunter(JaMiracle), his grandchildren Addyson, Evan, Banksand baby Halo; his 6 sisters, Evelyn Joyce Camper, Linda Lou Young (Charles), Ellen Hunter Battee, Mattie C. Harper (Robert), Lessie McFarland (O.C.), Jewell Daniels (Marvel); and his brother, Milton Hunter, Jr. (Thalia).
He also leaves to cherish his memory a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends. Larry was loved dearly as he brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. We will all remember the amazing goodness of his heart and how he never met a stranger.
