Linda Kay Myers' Obituary
On Tuesday, May 10, 2017 Linda Kay Myers departed this world and met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ lovingly surrounded by her mother, brother and sister.
Linda Kay Myers was born July 23, 1958 along with her twin sister, Lois Renee Myers to Cramon J. Myers and Lois Faye Dillard Myers in Indianapolis, Ind. She was the eldest of 4 children.
As a youth, Linda Kay Myers attended Indianapolis Public Schools #23 and #86, and graduated class of 1976 at Shortridge High School. After high school, she continued her studies at Kaye’s Beauty College, where she was certified as a Cosmetologist. She attended Indiana University, Purdue University at Indianapolis -IUPUI and Ivy Tech Vocational College (currently known as Ivy Tech Community College). Later she attended Indiana Therapeutic Massage School, finishing with a certification in Massage Therapy and, The Art Institute of Indianapolis, where she received her certification in Culinary Arts. She was employed with Thompson Consumer Electronics as a technical/customer support services associate.
Linda Kay Myers accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at young age. She was baptized at Second Christian Church (currently known as Light of the World Christian Church). Linda served as part of the Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF), the Tribe of Benjamin, and participated in other activities as an adolescent and teenager. She would later go on to become the Administrator at Light of the World Christian Church and, served in that role for 18 years. In addition, she served on the Grievance Committee, and many other committees. She was a life member at Light of the World Christian Church and continued as a satellite member after moving to Plano, Texas.
Linda had a passion for discovery and learning new things. She had a love for cooking, photography, and catering. She was a world traveler and her travels included: the Caribbean Islands, Europe, Central America and, most U.S. states including Hawaii. She was very creative in making jewelry and other arts and crafts. She took her natural talents and opened a business in Indianapolis, named “Expressions of Brie” (named after her first born niece, Brianna), where she sold her jewelry and greeting cards, perfumes, burning oils, and other assorted arts and crafts. She enjoyed fellowshipping with her family, friends and her church family.
She is preceded in death by: her father, Cramon J. Myers; twin sister, Lois Renee Myers; and niece, Brianna Renee Garner.
Linda is survived by: her mother, Reverend Lois Faye Dillard Myers; sister, Carmen Elaine Myers Garner; brother, Cramon Alan Myers (LySonia); and a host of nieces and nephews, grandniece and grandnephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
