Mr. Lloyd Ray Fields' Obituary
Lloyd Ray Fields, 88, passed away on June 11, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1937, in Quinlan, TX to Robert Fields and Lela Mae Alex Fields.
Lloyd grew up in Terrell, TX. He graduated from Burnet High School in Terrell, Tx. After high school he attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Tx where he received a degree in Mental Health.
Lloyd began working for Terrell State Hospital where he worked for many years. Following that he worked at Sears for 29 years. He retired in 2005. After retirement, Lloyd enjoyed volunteering at Baylor University Medical Center for many years.
Lloyd married Bessie in 1974. They were happily married for 51 years. He found joy in tending to his yard, barbecuing with loved ones, fishing, and cooking.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother, Lela Mae Autry; his father, Robert Fields; and his brothers, Odell Autry, Herbert Autry Jr., and Floyd Fields.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Bessie Fields; his sons, Elzie and Marvin; his daughter, Myiesha, which he affectionately called “Baby Girl”; his grandchildren, Marquel, Allan, Jahte, Giselle, Aaron; his brothers, Rev. Charles Fields (Edith), Willie Autry (Constance) and William Autry (Jocelyn); his sister, Annie Heidelberg; and host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
