Marc was a student in my systematic theology class and I had the privilege of serving as his academic advisor for his master’s studies. I remember him as a thoughtful and diligent student, open to new perspectives, very respectful of his classmates even when their ideas differed, generous with praise and compassion. I met him in person (pre Covid) only after I’d taught him online. He wanted to meet face to face even though we could have handled registration and related matters online. He preferred a personal contact. I was delighted to find how warm and funny he was in person, and to experience more directly his deep faith. I’m sorry for this big loss for his family and friends.

He’ll be missed by his classmates and professors at the University of Dallas Neuhoff School of Ministry.

I met Marc & Maryellen in my daughter & son-in-laws home Later, Marc made several visits alone as he & Donny were into their music. They would head for the music room & you wouldn’t see them for hours! They loved to record their music & I know those recordings are ever so special to Donny. Marc & Maryellen were both such delightful souls. I thought very highly of Marc. He treated me as I had known him for a long time & I’m thankful to have those fond memories. Also, Marc was a fan of some of Jessica’s dishes that she would cook. She would cook some of them just for him when he came around. My heart breaks for Maryellen & her girls, but our God will see them thru this. I’m honored that these two came into my life. Prayers for the family. Margie Crossno

I'm George Rozario all the way from India. My wife Margaret and I often visit the USA to see our sons Donnie and Timothy and their wives. During these visits, we had met Marc so many times. I clearly recall on December 1, 2018 (Saturday) after the Vigil Mass Donnie, his wife Jessica, Marc, and Maryellen, and Margaret and I went for dinner and called it the Advent dinner at Babes Chicken, what fun we had we had, he was such a kind soul.

Another occasion that stands out in my mind is the three-day CRHP retreat at Brown Wood State Park in February 2019. As soon as Donnie and I arrived there on a Friday evening Marc came up to me and said “ lets start with a hymn to Our Lady”. I don’t sing from music but I obliged him and sang Hail Mary, Gentle Woman accompanied by Marc and my son on guitars, Marc and the others there made me feel most welcome at the retreat... memories i will cherish forever.

Our family has so many other wonderful memories of Marc in Jessica and Donnie’s Home. I end with heartfelt condolences to you Maryellen and the girls on behalf of Margaret and myself. May our Dear Friend rest in peace with our Saviour in Heaven.

Dear MaryEllen, although not many at your young age are able to fully fathom what you are experiencing, I can understand a tiny bit, as I lost both of my parents to cancer. The bright side, if there was one, was truly comprehending the limited time we had left which allowed us to discuss things typically left unsaid and plan for the inevitable. The downside, of course, was witnessing a loved one's demise. My hope and prayer for you & the girls is that all of the wonderful, amazing memories you've created with Marc will soon replace any sad ones. You are in our hearts, Astrid Kattwinkel

We didn't know Marc or his immediate family, but our Dad Vincent spent many fun times visiting with the family along with Marc's mom Gloria. Marc and his family treated Dad like one of their own - they can now shoot the breeze together in heaven. Our sincere condolences for this untimely loss.
