Marcos B. Campos' Obituary
Marcos B. Campos, 78, of Burleson, passed away with family by his side at the Hospice of Texas Community in Fort Worth on Saturday, October, 14, 2017. He was born on July 29, 1939 in San Antonio to the late Refugio and Viola Campos. Mr. Campos was predeceased by his brother Feliciano Campos.
Mr. Campos was a United States Army veteran that served in the Korean War where he was best known as a committed soldier, skilled shooter, and having the best shined shoes anywhere he was stationed. After being honorably discharged, Mr. Campos began his career as an auto body & paint expert for Hargrove Paint & Body. Soon thereafter, he would begin his 33-year career with General Motors in 1969 where he worked in the paint and maintenance departments as a proud Local 276 UAW member.
A devout Christian and true artist at heart, Mr. Campos would approach everything his heart and hands touched with care and commitment. He invested time to ensure others captured the beauty and worth in everything ranging from good experiences, bad experiences, and most importantly what we can learn from them. He had a keen sense of vision for what was, what could be, and how to connect the dots along the way. Mr. Campos was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend that loved unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Minerva Campos; 7 children, Mario, Viola, Celinda, Laura, Edward, Melissa, Richard, and their spouses; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Julie Sanchez, Jesse B. Campos, and Teresa Campos.
