Celebrating the Life of my Dear Friend, Marian!
Thanks to Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Arlington), Ms. Bernita Jackson and family, JOB WELL DONE!
People complain about how bad the Pandemic has been, this story is how GOOD the pandemic was for us!
We met in 1995, I was finishing my final year at the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department and while deciding my next career move (Restaurant or Hotel industry), she hired me to be her part-time cashier at her restaurant. I admired her management style because regardless of what your position was, she treated you with RESPECT and she made you feel APPRECIATED.
We instantly became Sister/Friends!!! Our love for God, singing in church choirs, family events, restaurants, movies and attending Tyler Perry plays, we had so much in common; however through-out our long journey we lost touch in 2004. I tried to find her in 2016 so she could be a part of my 50th Birthday Celebration but couldn’t locate her because she was not on social media and had moved BUT one of her co-workers found me in 2020 and God allowed us 2 years to be back Sister/Friends; and on January 26, 2022 she died (Leukemia Cancer) but I was able to see her and she heard my voice and knew I was there!!! God ALWAYS gives us the “desires of our heart”. Rest Well My Dear Sister/Friend, Marian, until we meet again!

I will most certainly miss my friend, buddy and college roommate from Sam Houston State University and even before. God's blessings on your beautiful and kind soul and peace be with your family.
Marion was a wonderful women. I met her through the phone at work. I worked with her for years. She was a mixture of funny, business and love. One year while visiting the ValueOptions service center in TX I got an opportunity to meet Marion. We hugged and she was the same person in person as over the phone. We would chat and she always had a kind word no matter the subject. Her spirt was light and would often talk about her girls. I will miss you Marion.
To the family, I pray for comfort for you. I know we will see Marion again.
Miss you Marian! I have known Marian for 18 years, worked in same department for 15 years, worked side by side in the office for 11 years. We talked, laughed, and cried together. I loved her booming laugh. Her girls were her life. She prayed for my Joseph everyday in her prayer closet. So many memories! Till we meet again.
Jenean will be missed in our family. She was such a sweet person. She has gone to be with the Father and will reunite with her mother and sister. My love to family and friends. Rest in peace, cousin.

I was sad to here about Marian’s passing. We worked together and she would reach out periodically to check in with me on a personal note. She had such a sweet spirit and I will miss her. I pray for God’s comfort and peace for her family.
Marian was such a kind soul and will be greatly missed by us all. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
