Mark Brown, 65, transitioned on March 5, 2024, at home in Glenn Heights, TX. Mark was born January 7, 1958 in Charleston, South Carolina to William Brown and Jettie Brown.
Mark was a man of God, an amazing father, granddad, and great granddad. After Mark lost his wife a year ago he stepped up and opened his home for his grandkids and great kids. Mark was a very fun loving man. He always had a smile on his face and always wanted to make you laugh. In his earlier years in life Mark was known for his skills in sports. In Frankfort Philadelphia, he was known as a “Frankfort Legend”. Everyone thought that he was going to make it professionally as a basketball player. However, the Lord brought Deborah back into his life and he step up and became the father to all of her children.
On January 31, 1999 Mark married the love of his life the late Deborah Brown and together they raised 4 daughters and 2 sons. He was always a great provider, always there when you needed him, and never left you wanting for anything. He loved his grandkids and enjoyed being around them while spoiling them.
Mark was preceded in death by his wife Deborah Brown, his parents William Brown and Jettie Brown and his two sisters Sharon Brown and Evelyn Brown.
Mark leaves his five children from his marriage: Tomika Wright, Byron Moore, Deborah Elmore, Stephanie Reese, Yolanda Hiller, Daniel Brown, Mark Brown, Malachi Brown, Mark Cole (from a previous relationship), Latisha Stevenson (like a daughter), two biological sisters Jettie Rease Brown, Gwendolyn Brown, biological brother Stanley Brown and like a brother Kim Brantley as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids and great grandkids
