Mrs. Baker was always a quiet but sweet person. If you didn't speak to her she wouldn't speak to you. I remember back in the day she wore a white uniform walking to and from the bus stop, passing my parents house on the way. She would only be a few steps behind Mr. Baker walking from the bus stop on their way home. We would be in the front yard my mother, father are I when they pass by sometimes. We would speak Hi Mr & Mrs Baker, Mr. Baker would wave say hello just fine and keep on walking. Mrs. Baker would stop set her arms full bags down and take a breather while speaking. When she finished I would help her with her bags the rest of the way home, she would say thank you Valree but my name is Valerie.
