Michael D. Price's Obituary
Mr. Michael Dwight Price was born in Cameron, Texas to Oliver Cliff Blaylock and Gladys Price
Blaylock. Michael married Javaun Price and enjoyed a life of love and laughs.
Michael graduated from Odessa High School and obtained bragging rights for dominating
football, basketball, and track. In addition to earning a BBA degree from Northwood University,
he earned certifications in management, leadership, and information technology systems. His
career began at FW Star-Telegram in the mailroom, and he worked his way to Vice President
of Operations and Chief Information Officer. Michael also served as the Chief Information
Officer and Chief Security Officer at United Way. While he faithfully served the above mentioned
organizations, he always nurtured and supported entrepreneurship. He owned, operated, and
partnered many businesses.
Michael was best known for his humor and quick wit. He loved family and would always be there
to aid in any circumstance. He shared his personal resources, whether it was intellectual,
financial, or spiritual. If he knew of a need, he would always try to meet it. He enjoyed golf,
chess, and coaching sports.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor and Sarah Price, Lonnie and Lagayia
Johnson, sisters, Doris Nell Dominique and Samantha J. Blaylock.
Mr. Michael Dwight Price, age 65, transitioned peacefully in his sleep at home on June 14,
2022. Without a doubt, he is in the presence of the Lord.
Mr. Michael is survived by a host of family and friends.
