Morgan McDougal's Obituary
Celebration of Life
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Morgan Kathleen McDougal, was born on November 9, 1990 to her loving parents, the late Jimmy Lee and Jennifer McDougal. The second of four siblings, Morgan accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. On May 30, 2020, Morgan left this world after a long-fought battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and now presides in Heaven as a beautiful new angel.
Morgan was well loved and believed in celebrating life and living it to the fullest. She loved to travel, being with friends and hosting family gatherings. She graduated from Duncanville High School in 2008 and was able to follow in her late father’s footsteps by starting her professional career with Dallas County Tax Department as a Property Tax Clerk working part time and then later to full time, where she remained for over 10 years. Morgan was well known for her awesome baking skills and in 2013 she graduated from The Art Institute of Dallas and earned an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry. She started her own baking business, “Morgan’s Sweets” and made some of the best pastries around, including catering the Annual DFW Tougaloo College Alumni Christmas party and many other events throughout the city. Morgan planned to build on the success of that business and live out her childhood dream of a full-time chef. She often expressed her ambitions in starting her own food truck named “Jimmy Mac’s” in honor of her late father Jimmy.
Morgan is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Lee McDougal Jr., grandparents, uncles, and aunts. She is survived by her loving mother, Jennifer; siblings, Matthew, Mallory, and Miles; niece, Sophia, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Morgan will be deeply missed, however her amazing spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Morgan showed tremendous strength, resilience and remained positive throughout her battle with cancer. Her dreams and ambitions will forever live through those who loved her dearly, but now her soul may rest with her Savior.
(2 Timothy 4:7)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
