Mother Rosie Faye Barrett's Obituary
Mother Rosie Faye Barrett of Dallas, Texas was born June 13, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to the late parentage of Rosie Lee and Fred Barrett. The youngest of 11 children, she was educated in the Dallas Independent School District, attending Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. She worked in the restaurant industry and as a housekeeper for several years and she had a fondness and gift for gardening and baking. Mother Barrett could bake almost anything, and her Italian Cream Cake is legendary.
Mother Barrett gave her life to Christ and joined Full Gospel Holy Temple in 1975, under the leadership of the late Apostle Lobias and Dr. Shirley Murray. She continued to serve faithfully under the leadership of her son-in-law and daughter, Apostle Herman L. Murray and Lady Daniele Murray. As a single, determined mother, she raised her three children in holiness, and she was an active member of the FGHT Music Department until her health began to fail. Mother Barrett loved the Lord with all her mind, soul and strength.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Lee and Fred Barrett; her sisters, Clara Mae Roland, Margaret Faye Hills, Nettie Pearl Yancy; and brothers, T. W. Barrett, John Henry Barrett, Andrew Barrett, Arthur D. Barrett, Fred Barrett Jr. and M. C. Barrett.
