With profound love and immeasurable sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son, Oliver Beckett Postel, who was born sleeping on April 25, 2018. Though his time was brief, Oliver’s life has left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of all who love him.
From the moment he was dreamed of, Oliver was cherished beyond words. He was deeply loved by his parents and surrounded by a family who eagerly awaited his arrival. In his quiet way, he brought people together, reminding us of the depth of love a tiny soul can hold and inspire.
Though we did not get to hear his laughter or watch him grow, Oliver’s presence will always be felt, in the softest breeze, in the stillness of quiet moments, and in the love that will never fade. He will forever be a part of our family’s story, held close in every heartbeat.
Oliver is survived by his parents, William Alan Postel and Ginger (Smith) Postel; his brothers, Elliott and Winston Postel; his grandparents, Donald and Beverly Postel of Kennedale, Texas, and Forrest and Judy Smith of Melissa, Texas; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Edward and Billie Lewis of McKinney, Texas; J.D. and Marie Smith of McKinney, Texas; M. Theresa Lytle of South Park, Seattle, Washington; James and Helen McCool of Star City, Arkansas.
Services were privately held on May 8, 2018, at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
In our grief, we find comfort in knowing that love does not measure time. Oliver knew only love, and that love will carry his memory forward forever.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our baby. Forever a brother.
