Siobhan Renee Ricks' Obituary
Siobhan Renee Ricks was born on August 23, 1989 in Mesa, Arizona. She was the only daughter born to both Angela Kalla and Edward Ricks. Siobhan was raised by her loving grandparents John and Myrtle Ricks in Cerritos, California.
Siobhan was a lovable child always known for her big, pretty, unique colored eyes which often changed colors. She was always a joy to be around and always brought so much fun and laughter whenever she was around. She loved being around her family and friends. Oftentimes, you would catch yourself in a playful battle with her singing songs or quoting lines from classic movies that she loved. Of course, she always had everyone beat.
Siobhan had such a great love for music of all genres. Most would say, she had an old soul especially when it came to her reciting old school r&b classic music. Her love for music inspired her to step out of her comfort zone in which she would spend time at the studio putting together a few rhymes under her artist name which some of you may know as “Voni B”. She also had a passion for cooking, in which she will always be remembered for her banana pudding.
In her early years, Siobhan attended Burbank Elementary, Haskell J.R. High and Gahr High. Later, her grandparents relocated to Mansfield Texas where she then attended Mansfield Timberview High and graduated from New Beginning Christian Academy. Soon after she ignited her passion for styling hair in which she received her Certification of Achievement from Ogle School of Hair, Skin & Nails - Dallas location.
Siobhan was married to Henip Thapaliya in May of 2022. She loved being a stay-at-home mom for her two beautiful daughters. She devoted her life to her girls. They were her best friends. They enjoyed spending time together playing at the park, hanging out Main Event where they enjoyed playing games. She loved singing, dancing, cooking and laughing with her girls.
Siobhan is survived by her spouse, Henip Thapaliya; her daughters, Jaida Jones and Janiece Anderson; parents, Angela Kalla and Edward Ricks; brothers, Avan Ricks and Jimmy Mendez; cousin-sister(s) Danielle Ricks, Chantal Ricks, cousin-brother: John Ricks; grandparents, John Ricks and Barbara Annoni; Aunt’s Harriett Ricks, Sonya Jennings, and Sharon Rodriguez; Uncle Wayne Ricks, nieces and nephew, and a host of cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandma, Myrtle Ricks; and cousin, Felix Shannon
