Nias "Steve" Overstreet's Obituary
On Friday January 10, 2025 Nias Jerome Overstreet loving husband and father of 4 children passed away at the age of 68.
Nias was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana on January 1, 1958, to the union of Nias Overstreet Jr. and Chardia Mason Overstreet who both preceded him in death.
Nias received his formal education with Opelousas Louisiana Public Schools and was a college graduate of Grambling State University where he received his degree in accounting and was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Nias exceeded in his accounting career of over 40 years. He was well liked and beloved by all his coworkers. He was currently employed with Sentinel Security Life in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He leaves to cherish his memory Cynthia (wife), 4 children Brian Overstreet, Karen (Jason) Cobbins, Elizabeth Overstreet, Christina (Trenton) Atwell, 3 Grandsons Benjamin, Jaxon and Weston Atwell. Along with Sisters Marva Jolivette and Denise Guillory. 2 sisters in laws, Patricia (Donald) Johnson and Deborah (Mark) Blackmon. Long time friends Michael Lastie, Roosevelt (Linda) Joubert, Christopher Powell and Arnold Veazie. With a host Nieces, Nephews and other family and friends.
