In Loving Memory of Steve Poston
Steve Poston, 68, of Florence, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. He was the son of LaVerne Poston and Olive Mae Hanna Poston.
Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of deep faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Poston; his children, Stevie Poston, Paul Poston, and Andrea Austin; and his six cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings and in-laws, Wayne & Joyce Poston, Glenn & Sara Poston, and Janet & Guy Steenrod.
Steve's life was marked by his love for fellowship, his unwavering faith in God, and his deep affection for the people of Mexico. His heart was especially drawn to the orphanage he supported and served with passion and humility. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he found great joy in being present in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, at Capital Baptist Church in Annandale, Virginia, at 11:00 a.m.
The service will also be live-streamed in Spanish at 9 am Central Time for anyone wanting to watch from Mexico.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the orphanage Steve loved so dearly, through Bridging the World — a cause that truly reflects his heart and mission.
