Tanya Modell Douglas, age 60, passed away peacefully in Texas in November 2025. She was born on January 27, 1965, in Los Angeles, California.
Tanya is survived by her beloved son, Joshua Douglas, who was the light of her life.
A devoted follower of Christ, Tanya lived her faith with steadfast conviction. She trusted in the Lord without wavering and joyfully shared His love and truth with everyone she met. Her favorite reminder to those she loved was that they were “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), a reflection of the kindness and grace she carried within her heart.
Tanya proudly served her country as a veteran of the United States Navy and continued to live with discipline, purpose and compassion throughout her life. Her passions included cycling, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, caring for her cherished puppy Joy and traveling with her son.
Those who had the privilege of meeting Tanya were touched by her warmth and sincerity—she had a remarkable gift for making instant, lasting connections. Her strength, faith, and radiant spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
