Tasha Lynette Southall's Obituary
Tasha Lynette Southall was born on June 5, 1966, in Corpus Christi, TX, she was the second of five children born to Oscar Eugene Southall and Kathleen Taylor Southall. After she was born, the family moved to Fort Worth, TX where she received her formal education and graduated from OD Wyatt High School. Tasha gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized on October 26, 1975, at Taylor Memorial in Corsicana, TX under the leadership of Supt. Floyd G. Taylor. She attended Heavenly Gospel COGIC, where she was a part of the Sunshine Band and Purity Class. While singing with the Angelical Choir she had the opportunity of singing with Shirley Caesar.
Tasha was an entrepreneur and gifted in many areas. Her passion was for serving others and she never met a stranger. She dedicated her life to ministering through social media platforms by sharing the word of God, feeding the homeless, donating toys for Christmas, pampers to single mothers, and organizing a back-to-school clothing drive. She loved her family and was proud of being the mother to her daughter, Trashona. Tasha became a member of the Potters House Dallas where she was a faithful member until her departure.
Tasha went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Andrew and Irene Smith, Jeff and Jorene Taylor, and her great-nephew, Aidan Jackson.
Tasha leaves cherished memories to her mother, Kathleen Southall, her daughter Trashona Waggoner, her siblings Karla Jackson, Myron Southall, Tracie Wallace (Quincy), and Courtney Southall, her best friend Tiffany Releford, 10 nephews, 3 nieces, 9 great-nephews and nieces, her godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tasha was truly loved and will be missed by all!
