Terrence L. Bryant Sr. 's Obituary
Surely goodness and mercy has followed me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of Lord forever. Psalms 23:6
Terrence Lanier Bryant Sr. (Terry) was born in San Diego, California on November 11, 1971 to his loving parents Opal Oliver and Frank Bryant.
He attended schools in San Diego and later relocated to Dallas Texas with his mom. Terry was introduced to Christ when he was a child attending Jackson Memorial Church of God in Christ in San Diego. Once he relocated he attended Saintsville Church of God in Christ with his Grandmother Maurine Jones.
Working along side of his mother and grandmother in the kitchen, Terry grew a passion for cooking which developed into a hobby. Prior to his passing, he was attending the Culinary Arts program at El Centro Community College where he was pursuing his dreams in becoming a Chef. When you wanted to find Terry all you had to do was look in somebody’s kitchen whipping something together. He took pride in entertaining the family whether it was expected or unexpected. His hospitality came so naturally that it created a sense of warmth and comfort. Terry enjoyed nothing more than to laugh, talk, joke, share memories and talents with the ones he loved so dearly. Music was a very instrumental key in his early years that accented his later years. He was known as a skilled and intuitive songwriter with a rhythm so “Smoove”, he was frequently requested to freestyle lyrics while bonding with family and friends. His craft for cars was so immense that it was not only just a go-to hobby but a passion that led him to receive an automotive mechanic certification at the Automotive Training Institute. Terry’s individuality was one of a kind and his capability of forming analogies was majestic to say the least.
Terrence leaves to cherish his memory and legacy; his parents, Opal Oliver and Frank Bryant; his children who are the most important part of his life, Annesia Simone Davis, Brianna Maurine Bryant, Terrence Lanier Bryant Jr., and Jared James Bryant his brothers, Tracy Lamont Bryant and Randolph Earl Oliver , his sister, Octavia Cabell Reed( Drew); his “93” year old Grandmother Maurine S. Jones, uncle Dennis, Aunts, uncles, a whole bunch of cousins and friends. For the Love and Joy that he gave, Terry will be missed profoundly by all his loved ones.
