Vernon Forest Oliver's Obituary
Vernon Forest Oliver, 86, long time resident of Haltom City, passed away on May 5, 2017. Vernon was born and raised in Mineral Wells, TX to Ruby and Sid Oliver on March 18, 1931. Vernon retired from General Dynamics after 39 years of service. His work took him around the world. He was well respected and appreciated for his ability to get the job done. He was known for making friends and always made them feel welcome. He loved new adventures, new places, old movies, travel, friends and most of all family.
Vernon is survived by his wife of 67 years: Louise; son, Don (Bunny) Oliver; daughter, Sue (Olin) Beaver; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, business associates and loved ones.
