Ms. Veronica K. LeDeaux's Obituary
Veronica K. LeDeaux was born on March 9, 1953, in Lake Charles, LA, daughter of Houston Kaough and Cecile Esclavon Kaough. Veronica was the youngest of 5 siblings where she was affectionally known as Vonnie or Von.
Veronica graduated from W.O. Boston high school in 1971. During her time at W.O. Boston, she was a proud Panther majorette, active member of Future Homemakers of America and Sophomore Class Maid. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1975, where she continued to support as an Alumna and was active on campus, with the Business Administration department, Resident Life and Senior Class 4th Maid.
Veronica was married in 1974 to her high school and college love, Kenneth W. LeDeaux (deceased). During their 18-year marriage, they were blessed with 2 children.
Veronica was best known for being a quiet, mild mannered, sweet, loving and God-fearing woman, who enjoyed crafts, shopping, service to others, and spending time with her family. During time with family, especially during holidays, she enjoyed singing and dancing. She was a devoted volunteer with Meals on Wheels and various hospitals in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Mansfield, Texas.
To cherish her memory and continue to honor her life are her children, Anita Cecile LeDeaux – Ricks (Elliot Jevon) of Mansfield, Texas, Jason Spencer LeDeaux (Leticia) of Fresno, Texas; her grandchildren Christopher Elliot Ricks, Kendall Nicole Ricks, Xavier Cole LeDeaux, Alicia Denise Simpson, Edward Charles Simpson (BJ); her siblings Geneva Kaough Harris of Oakland, California, Howard Kaough of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Linda Kaough Billups (Arland) of Tallahassee, Florida and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Veronica is preceded in death by Houston Kaough - father, Cecile Esclavon Kaough – mother, Gary Kaough – brother.
