My David and I first met David when he was umping a baseball game that Blaine was playing in. I can't remember what I had asked him after the game. Something baseball...anyways he introduced us to Rhonda she was holding a tiny Matthew. We became friends about a year later, first a working relationship, but as anyone knows you only become long lasting friends when you meet the Meadows. I have always told my other friends David and Rhonda are friends with everyone. Not just fly by night friends but truly friends. I cherish that. I hate we didn't have more dinner nites. I always went to the restaurants they mentioned Mama Cucas, Top Secret Barbecue some of the latest etc...David was always so nice, greeted you, asked how you were, told his stories and listened to yours. I remember a couple times when they would come drop off work I would be complaining about my oldest and he would always say he is a good kid and will grow out of it don't worry. He always took the time for good conversation. Not many people like that. I am so very sorry for your loss. God Bless your family.
I can't remember where we were but it was a all star tournament Matt and Joe (my son) were playing in...a huge trantula had made his way toward our bleachers and the bleachers cleared, except for David who got his camera out to take a few shots....when the spider was disposed of by the grounds keeper David was kind enough to tell me that they travel in packs and he was sure the spiders family was close by..then he crawled his fingers behind my neck...freaked me out but was good for a laugh...:) RIP David. My heart felt condolences Rhonda.
Rhonda, you and David hold a special place in our hearts from our early years of parenthood. It is apparent that you got it right because your boys are amazing. I hope they always remember that they come from a Long Line of Love.
Rhonda,I wanted to share this with you and your young men.When David and I were growing up he liked snakes and I hated them.I would go to spend the weekend at there house and uncle Clinton had pigeons,and underneath there cages there were rocks and David would turn them over and find little grass snakes.he would put them in his pants pockets and pull them out and scare the crap out of me.And I remember when we were in high school he loved Pink Floyd.I loved my cousin for 49 years and always enjoyed everything about him.And it was only 49 years because we didn't know each other until we were 2 r 3 . I loved him and I love y'all .we will see y'all at the theater.
One thing that I will never forget about David is how much he made all of us laugh. In 6th grade, David would get out of his seat and Mr. Bernson would say, "Dave, LIGHT! Before I light on you!" For years after that, David would do a HILARIOUS impersonation of Mr. Bernson. It still brings a smile to my face just picturing it! Rest In Peace David. You will be missed.

Mourning the lose of my wonderful brother in law, David. I can't even imagine life without him. His wonderful cheerful smile, the twinkle in those bright blue eyes, and the love he had for so many things but especially his love for my sister and his family. He was always the one we would go to when we needed advice on anything. His love for photography allowed us to have so many family pictures that we will cherish forever. His genuine smile and kindness would always brighten up my day. He was one that when he asked you how you were doing, he really wanted to know. David I love you and thank you for the example you have been to me and so many others. You were not just my brother in law but the brother I never had. I was just a teenager when you started dating my sister. My heart and soul have another empty hole in it forevermore. You have taught me to live life to the fullest and don't take anything or anyone for granted. Enjoy everything in life, even the little things you may not think matter. Don't ever leave anything unsaid to those you love for we are not promised another second here on earth. I'll be looking out for signs from you above and give my mom and dad hugs and kisses from me please. Until, we meet again in the glorious heavens God has prepared for us. I love you.
