David Clinton Meadows' Obituary
David Clinton Meadows, 52, was received into the hands of God, December 12, 2013 at an Arlington hospital surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of the life of David C. Meadows has been scheduled for Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00pm at
Creekwood Church; 260 N. Miller Road; Mansfield.
David was born November 16, 1961 in Arlington, Texas to Charles and Charlene Meadows. He has resided in Arlington his entire life and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1980. He continued his studies at Dallas Baptist University and in 1984 he began working for LTV Aerospace in Grand Prairie, now Triumph Aerostructures. He was currently employed as a drivematic operator for Triumph and worked as a supervisor for 12 of the 29 years he dedicated to his job. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #2114 in Arlington. David loved photography and was an avid bird watcher. His admiration for Purple Martins led to an article and his photos being published in the Purple Martin Magazine. He could also be found around Mansfield taking photos at local events and the shows at the Farr Best Theater, which he and his wife Rhonda operated. David also had a passion for music and taught his children to appreciate the many kinds of music he loved. Of all the many things David cherished, none were more important to him than his love for his family, especially his grandchild, Wyatt, who called David "Poppie". David deeply loved his wife and was a very proud father of his three sons. He never missed any of the kids activities or sporting events, loved the family vacations and looked forward to the holiday's with family and friends. David's warm smile and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all he knew.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Charlene Meadows and sister, Nancy Jane Meadows.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Rhonda Meadows; sons, Nathan Meadows and his fiance' Michelle Smith, who David referred to as the daughter he never had, Michael and Matthew Meadows, all of Arlington; grandson, Wyatt Meadows of Arlington; sister, Janice Meadows of Tomball, TX and her children, Weston and Clinton Wylie and Mandy Stebbins; niece, Joy Ivy and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of many friends.
