Hardy Walter Leenders' Obituary
Hardy Walter Leenders, known for his kind heart and warm smile, passed away on May 5th, 2022, just two days before his 52nd birthday.
He was born in Vlissingen, The Netherlands to Walter and Christiana Leenders. There he loved playing waterpolo and going on adventures with his friends. He was known as the funny guy in the group and the one who would most likely do something a little on the wild side. After graduating high school, he went on to an advanced school and received a degree in IT Engineering. After that, he served in the Dutch Military Police.
From there he fulfilled a life long dream to live in the United States and soon after he met his wife, Julie Leenders. They first set up their life just outside New York City and later moved to Texas as part of a job transfer. Together, they had two beautiful, redheaded children: Marielle and Knox.
He was passionate about his love of God and Jesus. He loved to look at the skies, whether watching planes or the night sky and all it's constellations. Some of his favorite memories were the travels with his family. But most of all, he loved being active with a special love of swimming even if it was freezing out.
He is survived by his wife and children, his parents and his sister, Michelle. A graveside service will be held at 10am on May 10th at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale. In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to a trust that has been set up for his children. Donations can be be made via Zelle to juliekimble@yahoo.com
