Jennifer Lei Hinds' Obituary
Jennifer Lei Beale Hinds, 46, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 20, 2021, after an almost seven-year battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by both of her daughters, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 28 at Mansfield Funeral Home from 1-3 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29 at 3 PM, at Rush Creek Mira Lagos with her brother, Mark Pointer of First Baptist Church of Wagoner, Oklahoma officiating and a meal following. Burial will be Tuesday, November 30, at 11 AM at Old Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Mansfield Funeral Home.
Jennifer was born June 25, 1975, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to James Wiley Beale and Genevieve Lawson Beale. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1993 where she was valedictorian and also played basketball. Jennifer attended Cameron University and graduated in May of 1998. She played basketball at Cameron and that is where she met the two best friends of her life, Wendy Stanley, and April Hundl. Following graduation, she attended Texas Women’s University from 1998-2000, where she attained her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma from 2000-2002, then at Kindred Healthcare in Mansfield, Texas as their Director of Therapy from 2002-2011, and most recently at Encompass Healthcare in Arlington, Texas as the Director of Therapy Operations from 2011-2021.
Jennifer was a single mom who spent both her personal and professional life putting everyone else before herself. Her daughters describe her as “Super Mom.” Those who knew her will remember her love of sports, Chuy’s, 90s R&B, and long walks with Tyson. We will remember her strength, fierce loyalty, huge heart, and infectious laugh. Those who were lucky enough to be loved by Jennifer truly are aware of the blessing that she was.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Genevieve.
Jennifer is survived by her daughters, Devyn Hinds (Dalton Wagner and basset hound Duke) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Logyn Hinds (Cam Brown) of Fort Worth, Texas, fur baby, Tyson, sisters Phyllis Koetter (David Koetter) of Norman, Oklahoma and Lisa Tahsequah of Rockwall, Texas, brothers Mike Pointer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Mark Pointer (Teresa Pointer) of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Pallbearers will be Cam Brown, Dalton Wagner, Paul Koetter, John Koetter, David Wafer, Joe Meuse, and Brian Stanley.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. O’Shaughnessy and her team at Texas Oncology, Encompass Healthcare Hospice, Tracie Hunnicutt, Susan Adix, Julie Clement, David and Lisa Wafer, Joe and Regina Meuse, Sue Corey, and numerous others who went out of their way to bring meals, support the family in caregiving, and whom Jennifer loved dearly.
