Marlon Aaron Bonds, 53, of Mansfield Texas, died on April 24, 2020.
He was born to the late James Bonds and Joan Jeffery on September 26, 1966, in Oakland, California. Marlon graduated from San Francisco High School in 1984. Marlon spent most of his life in Oakland where he met and married Sandra Cawley in 1996, and they lived together in Upland, California., before relocating to Texas in 2015.
Marlon was a member of the United States Air Force in his early years after leaving High School. He had to make a career change due to health reasons. He joined the Oakland Police Force where he served for 2 years. At the time of his passing he held a supervisory position with the Trinity
Metro Bus Company for Tarrant County.
Marlon loved cars especially his black firebird. Among his hobbies were weight lifting, music, watching his favorite football team the Raiders, and cooking. He had a wide area of interests, was acutely techno-savvy, and was a great lover of gadgets.
Marlon is survived by three children: Aaron, who resides in Ohio; Jazmine and Joshua here in Mansfield. He also leaves behind brother Mark, sister Merlawrencia, dear cousin Cheryl, Darryl, Anadre, Shayla and Brandon, uncle Donald. He has 2 nieces and 2 nephews: Tatianna, Meshe, Micheal and Tye. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, aunt, uncles and cousins.
