Mwamba Tyler Robertson's Obituary
Mwamba Tyler Robertson passed away in a tragic accident on Lake Erie on August 16th, 2025. Mwamba was born on October 10, 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio. From the very beginning, Mwamba carried with him a spark that lit up every space he entered. His infectious smile, laughter, his curiosity, and his gentle heart made him a source of joy and comfort to those around him.
Mwamba was raised in Lusaka, Zambia and Frisco, Texas. At the time of his death, he had been in Cleveland for 12 weeks where he had gone to visit family as he waited on an opportunity in Spain, mid-September of 2025.
Mwamba grew up surrounded by the love of his family, who nurtured his dreams and celebrated his milestones. As a child, he was bright, friendly, energetic and inquisitive, always eager to learn and explore. At age 22, Mwamba was very well traveled as he loved nature and appreciated architecture. He brought warmth and laughter to his family and friends, undoubtedly the life of whichever room he was in. His kindness made him a natural peacemaker and a cherished companion.
From an early age, Mwamba developed a passion for soccer — a passion that would shape his life and future aspirations. On the field, he was not only talented but also disciplined, resilient, and driven. Soccer was more than a game to Mwamba. His determination led him to travel across Europe for professional tryouts, chasing his dream with courage and dedication. Through every challenge, he remained hopeful, hardworking, and steadfast in his pursuit.
Beyond his love for soccer, Mwamba will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and faith. He loved God and lived out his faith in the way he treated others — with compassion, humility, and respect. His friends knew him as loyal and dependable; his family knew him as a source of pride and joy. His presence was a blessing, and his absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who loved him.
Mwamba’s life, though far too brief, was a testament to living with purpose, passion, and love. At just 22 years old, he touched more lives than many do in a lifetime. His legacy will endure in the memories he created, the dreams he pursued, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his loving parents, siblings, extended family, and friends across the world who will forever hold his memory close.
