After a near death stay at the Veterans Hospital on South Lancadter Rd, Dallas, TX, I enteted The Miracle Revival Center TMOGC for the first time on Thanksgiving Day 1979 for the evening services at 1010 W Kiest and Polk St. As I entered the front door, I saw a woman standing behind an extended table full of baked cakes with the most welcoming smile I had ever seen... As I approached her table my eyes wide open at the cakes she had displayed, she asked if I wanted to try her Sock-It-To_Me cake, immediately I said yes...MY stay at the hospital had me on a very restricted diet, and the sight of all of those cakes, had my attention... I ate the slice of cake Mother gave me SOO fast she offered me the whole cake... I was introduces to Mother Martin that night, Mother and I bonded... That is just one of the fond memories I shared with the lady that called me "Her Son"...
