Dear Brother, we will miss you dearly. You may be gone in the physical but your spirit still remains. It’s taking some time for me to process the fact that I will not see your smile nor hear your voice. I will remember when I last spoke to you on February 3rd 2025 at 3:15pm you said to me sis I feel good, I ate a pear. I then let you know I was there at your bedside when you were in the ICU, you stated you didn’t know I was there. I would’ve never known that this was going to be the last time I would hear your voice. I am heartbroken, can’t stop thinking about you.
You were full of life and energy. I have memories of when you came to the Christmas Party Dec 2023 we had a good time. Rest in Paradise until we meet again someday. Love you always.
Wayne and I met when our furniture got damaged when we moved to Midland, TX, and he was sent out to repair them by the furniture store. When he got to the house and started talking, I was like he sound like a Caribbean person. So I asked him where he was from. In true Guyanese fashion he responded " I'm from the same place you from "😊😊. From since then we became good friends. We would go to each other's house and cook Guyanese food and just talked about Guyana and our lives in remote, Midland, TX. When we moved to Frisco, TX and he moved to Austin, TX, he would drive down on some weekends to stay by us and we would cook so much food. Wayne was a GREAT COOK, and loved cooking for his friends. We bonded and remained friend irrespective of the distance. I will miss our conversations. We talked about everything under the sun. We always greeted one another with "GT MASSIVE" 😊. Sleep on my friend🥹🙏🏽🕊 I'm happy I met you and will cherish the memories.
Wayne, You are a great example of what a big brother should be. You protected me along with your guidance in life lessons. I can recall you sneaking me into the Jamaican Inn club when I was sixteen years old and then me sneaking back into the house. (lol) I remember you getting me my first job at Advo Systems, and there are many more things I can't mention. You taught me how to cook, dress, and dance. I would steal your clothes and hide them in my book bag so that I could look good for school at fourteen. I love to eat your cook-up rice or anything you cook, bro. In 2013, we took a journey that only you and I can speak about when I helped you relocate to Victoria, Texas. It took us twenty-four by car. God gave you a big heart, and may he rest your soul. And it's only right that I returned to Texas when needed. You will be missed. I no longer have that person I can call any time of the night.
Wayne was a very respectful and mannerly man who knew what to say when someone meets him and he would always greet you with a smile so sleep on and take your rest eternally
I can hear Wayne saying to me, “ live your life my girl and no watch no face.” Among other motivational sentiments, he personified strength, determination and grit. When he was preparing for his purposeful move to Texas, man was he adamant! He said to me, “make sure you come and visit me”… Sadly, I never did make it there to visit him. In fact, Wayne called me on my Birthday last year and we talked about so many things but what stood out the most is that, I told him that I would visit him this summer to see what Austin was all about. He said, “Come! come mon, you are welcome any time, you’ve been in Delaware way too long”… as we laughed and laughed… That was Wayne’s true and authentic self… I have so many fond memories of Wayne…. We shared the love of music especially Dancehall and Culture Reggae. In so many ways, Wayne was like a big brother to me because he always looked out for me and supported me in my business journey. It’s safe to say that Wayne was one of my biggest cheerleaders. I would share with Wayne, some things in confidence and he was never timid about what he thought even if I didn’t like the response… but of course, this is what a big brother is suppose to do right? Another fond memory of Wayne is the way he carried himself. An amazing gentleman he was; in his demeanor, style, dapperness, and most importantly, his love for his family. He was a high achiever and his tenacity exemplified his character to the extent of what he wants for his two amazing children who he was extremely proud of. I can go on and on but lastly, Wayne always loved to look good and his self respect was far reaching among his friends and colleagues. Wayne was a force and his memories will live on in those who was blessed to have know who is was. Rest in perfect peace Wayne!
Times like this reminds us all to live purposefully, much like Wayne did❤️
